Ambient Sounds app released on Android Market

And here it is, app number 2! As I have said, we've hit some obstacles with the game in production, but expect that relatively soon I guess.

So what is this application? Well the name sums it up pretty well, in that the app focuses on ambient audio samples which are on a loop. These are intended to be of a relaxing nature and I believe they all meet that quality pretty well. Some of these have put my baby son straight to sleep and so that right there is a big USP! Here is the app description for convenience:

"Hard day at work? Unwind to the sounds of the jungle and escape from the world for while.
Can't sleep, or can't get the baby to sleep? Then why not listen to the sea crashing on the shores or be soothed by the sound of crickets at night.
Stressed out? Have a break and pretend you're in the countryside, away from your problems.

Whatever the mood your in, Ambient Sounds has a large array of sounds to suit you. You can even mix different sounds together to create a personalised environment for you to relax in.

To use Ambient Sounds you first need to choose a category. Then press the speaker icon and choose the sound you want. Afterwards press on other sounds to add them to your sound and even choose sounds from different categories. The possibilities are endless! The sounds will play endlessly, so you can relax and enjoy yourself.
Simply press the speaker icon again on any of the screens to play a different selection.

To make the most of Ambient Sounds you should plug your headphones into your phone/tablet, or even plug into your speaker system for the full effect!

Please try the Lite version first: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.alkalinelabs.ambientsounds.lite

Don't forget to rate and comment the app if you download it!
"

Yes I do realise that this is another sound related app, but I did a degree focused on sound so it makes sense haha.
Anyway if you get a chance, send feedback etc as it will only help to improve the app(s)!

"Virtual Acoustic Guitar" Application released on Android Market!

Alkaline Labs has now released it's first application which simulates an acoustic guitar. This was a side project to the main game in development(which is due out at the beginning of September) and development was completed within two days, utilising LibGDX.
Whether you have never played a guitar in your life, or even if you are an experienced player, you will definitely find yourself immersed with this application! It features a standard Tuner (EADGBE) and 2 groups of chords to pluck and strum away at.

In the coming weeks there will be some updates released for it to increase it's functionality, namely focusing on being of use to guitar learners and also to increase the potential of the app. If it proves successful then a small fee to remove ads will become available to those users who want it.
If you have the app or have played on it, please give your feedback either here or via email (alkalinelabs@gmail.com).
